Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Collabix Private Limited ("Collabix", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the Collabix marketplace at getcollabix.com and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you sign in with Instagram or Facebook, we receive your name, profile picture, and a provider account identifier from Meta.
- Instagram / Facebook data you authorize. With your permission, we access your professional account details through the Meta Graph API — your username, name, profile picture, biography, follower and following counts, media count, and aggregate engagement metrics (average likes/comments and derived engagement rate). We use these to display your verified reach to brands.
- Profile & marketplace information you provide. Headline, bio, categories, availability, rate, portfolio items, and organization/agency details.
- Transaction information. Campaigns, proposals, contracts, milestones, reviews, and wallet/escrow ledger entries. Payment-instrument details are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Communications. Messages you send to other users and to our support team.
- Technical & usage data. IP address, device and browser information, and log data, collected automatically as you use the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To match creators with brands and power campaign discovery and recommendations.
- To display your verified social reach and reputation so collaborators can evaluate you.
- To run collaborations end to end — proposals, contracts, escrow funding, and payouts.
- To maintain trust and safety, prevent fraud, and moderate content.
- To operate, improve, and secure the Service, and to provide customer support.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How we share your information
- With other users. Your public profile, connected social reach, ratings, and portfolio are visible to brands and creators on the platform so collaborations can happen.
- With service providers. Hosting, storage, and payment processing partners who process data on our behalf under contract.
- With Meta. We access Instagram/Facebook data through Meta's APIs and use it only to provide the features you enabled, in accordance with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
- For legal and safety reasons. Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Collabix and its users.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Some records — such as transaction and ledger entries — may be retained longer where required for legal, accounting, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
5. Your rights and choices
- Access, correct, or update your profile information in your account settings.
- Disconnect Instagram/Facebook at any time from your profile, which removes the imported data.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data — see our Data Deletion page.
- Withdraw permissions you previously granted through your Instagram/Facebook settings.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption of sensitive tokens at rest and encrypted transport (HTTPS), to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
9. Government & law enforcement requests
If we receive a request from a public authority or law enforcement for a user's personal information, we handle it under the following policies:
- Legality review. We review each request to confirm it is valid and legally binding before responding.
- Right to challenge. We may push back on, narrow, or refuse requests we consider unlawful, overbroad, or improper.
- Data minimization. We disclose only the minimum information necessary to comply with a lawful request, and nothing more.
- Documentation. We keep a record of such requests, our responses, and the legal reasoning and parties involved.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above.
